Body scrub with sea salts and essential oils

Sea salts have long been popular in bathing rituals for their crystalline texture which gradually melts under massage. Combined with essential oils chosen for their freshness, they compose a body scrub reminiscent of thalassotherapy cabins revisited at home: exfoliation, feeling of cleanliness, light residual lipid layer if you have mixed the product with a little water from the palm.

Classic procedure: take a spoonful of mixture, moisten, apply on legs, arms and torso in circles. The EOs diffuse quickly in the steam of the shower: be sure to ventilate well afterwards if you are sensitive to concentrated perfumes. Avoid the face and injured areas; in case of reactive skin, prefer a Patch test.

After rinsing, the skin may seem “tight”: this is the right time for a rich cream or a oil/butter mixture. To extend the marine idea, alternate with a seaweed milk or a light iodine mist. This ritual is also a pleasant way to prepare the skin for a natural summer color, by evening out the surface before moderate exposure (always with sun protection).
